Dr. Ekrem Civas is a dermatologist, doctor and founder of Civas Hair Transplant Clinic. He graduated from Dicle University Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in dermatology in 1999.
In 2003, while working as a dermatologist at Numune Hospital, he opened his own private office in Ankara. He resigned from duty in 2007 from Numune Hospital Dermatology Department and continued with his own practice.
In the field of hair diseases and hair transplantation, he first worked on basic hair surgery training in Canada and America, then on sharing experiences and advanced techniques in various clinics in Poland, Sweden and Spain, respectively.
Dr. Civas is Board Certified in Dermatology and a member of Fellows of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (FISHRS). He is also certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is the first doctor in Turkey to have his FISHRS title by fulfilling the necessary requirements in the field of hair surgery. ISHRS (FISHRS) is an academic honor of excellence and expertise with regards to hair loss and transplantation.
He is a member of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ABHRS), he was awarded ABHRS diploma which is one of the most renowned diplomas in the field of hair surgery in the world. He became the first doctor in Turkey with the competence of becoming an academician and an advanced Board Review Course Instructor.
He is promoted to Associate Professor of Dermatology in 2021.
He compared 3 different instruments in FUE hair transplantation and it shed light on the FUE limits and identified the appropriate candidate profile with its study on the detection of follicular unit damage. The study was presented at the ESHRS (European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery) Madrid meeting and also published in ISHRS (American Society of Hair Surgery)..
He made national and international publications 1 book, 5 book chapters, 30 scientific articles and 22 scientific posters are available in 61 national and international congresses, as an educator, speaker and chairman.
