What are the possible side effects of a hair transplant?
Rarely does hair transplant have lasting side effects. Temporary side effects can be the initial swelling that lasts maximum 5 days after the surgery. Pimples might appear 1-2 months of the surgery signifying new hair growth.
Because the procedure involves the skin, infections could develop in the hair follicles e.g in-grown hair. Continuous administration of antibiotics to the patient before and after the hair transplant ensures that any upcoming infections heal without damaging the hair follicles.
